Taste of the Wild Dog Food Available

We now have all three varieties of Taste of the Wild Dog Food available!
  • High Prairie
    Main Ingredient: Bison (Buffalo)
First 5 ingredients: Bison, venison, lamb meal, chicken meal, egg product
  • Pacific Stream
    Main Ingredient: Salmon
First 5 Ingredients: Salmon, ocean fish meal, sweet potatoes, potatoes, canola oil

  • Wetlands
    Main Ingredient: Duck
First 5 Ingredients: Duck, duck meal, chicken meal, egg product, sweet potatoes

Notice the first ingredient in all three formulas of Taste of the Wild dog food is a specific meat source. You typically do not find this, even in so-called premium dog foods. Most dog foods begin with a grain source or multiple grain sources, and some include soy. We feed and recommend Taste of the Wild dog food because it is grain free, has quality protein sources, and produces a smaller stool (I think everyone can appreciate this factor!).

Available for local pick-up at Elite K9 Training Academy in 5, 15, and 30# sizes.

Our address is:

First Day of Obedience Class, Educating Dog Owners

The first day of class went rather well, with a dog personality game and discussions on dog behavior and nutrition.

By playing the game, we can get a good idea of the personality of each dog, for example, dominant/submissive, high/low drive, food/play (or ball) driven. This helps us get a feel for what will best motivate each individual dog in class as well as when the dog is at home or the owners take their dogs out in public.

Since Karen and I also believe training and education should not stop at the sit-stay-heel, we educate owners on deeper issues, such as motivating the dog (mentioned earlier), adjusting the pack status (humans at the top/dogs at the bottom), and the all-important k9 nutrition.

The first day of class went rather well, rave reviews are coming in, and we look forward to the next step of training: educating the students as well as their owners!
